I’ve been collaborating with some really good friends — Gate Davis and Steven Purcell at Laity Lodge, Fourth Line Films director Nate Clarke, and Gordon Atkinson at Consafo — on designing and building an online home for Box Canyon Sessions, a creative collaboration we’ve been quietly working on for the past year. In 2014 Laity Lodge introduced the Box Canyon Sessions with a simple idea: hike into Box Canyon and have a musical conversation. The first season resulted in a dozen short films capturing various artists performing in response to the place.
Artists from Nashville, New York, the West Coast and everywhere in between ranging from Jars of Clay to Sandra McCracken, Cindertalk to Buddy Greene, Andy Gullahorn to jazz trombonist James Hall, all lent their considerable talents to the venture. The responsive site’s launch was a huge success on Facebook. It’s content will continue to grow in 2015 as well: we’re working on the second season of content this spring.
